Heart, Grit, and Floorball: Malaysia’s Teams Chasing SEA Games Dreams

Heart, Grit, and Floorball: Malaysia’s Teams Chasing SEA Games Dreams

Before the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand, we had the chance to step onto the court with Malaysia’s Men’s and Women’s Floorball teams and what an experience it was. From training sessions to friendly matches, we saw firsthand the dedication, grit, and pure love for the game that drives these athletes.

Fueling Passion, On and Off the Court

We brought our WAVE 2.0 bottles, Recovery Sleeves, and nasal strip testers to their pre-SEA Games training, letting the players and coaches try them out during drills, scrimmages, and friendly matches. Watching them sweat it out, pushing their limits, and staying focused while testing our gear was inspiring they left everything on the court, no matter the score.

Heart of Volunteers and Coaches

One of the most moving parts of this journey? The coaches. Many of them are former floorball players themselves and volunteer their time because they genuinely care about the sport and its future in Malaysia. They guided both the men’s and women’s teams through tough practices, strategy sessions, and friendly matches, all without pay driven purely by passion and love for the game.

We also had the chance to sit down with the coaches and some of the star players. Listening to their stories, you quickly realise that support from organisations like OVER isn’t just a gesture it’s fuel for their journey, helping them perform at their best despite limited resources.

A Team Fighting Against the Odds

Floorball isn’t officially supported by Malaysia’s Sports Department, which means these athletes often compete and train on their own dime. Yet, their energy, spirit, and commitment are out of this world. Both teams women and men showed that true champions aren’t defined solely by medals, but by how much heart and effort they put into every session, every game, every match.

Celebrating Growth and Future Dreams

At the SEA Games, the Men’s team brought home a bronze medal, while the Women’s team fought tooth and nail until sudden death. Beyond the results, the real victory is the foundation they’re building for the future of Malaysian floorball and we’re proud to play even a small part in their story.

Whether it’s our bottles keeping them hydrated, our recovery sleeves helping them bounce back, or our nasal strips giving them that extra edge, we’re here to support these athletes chasing their dreams. Win or lose, they leave it all on the court and that’s what inspires us the most.

Here’s to Floorball Malaysia: your passion, heart, and resilience are a lesson in what it truly means to compete. The journey doesn’t end here 2027 starts now.
